Job, an Art Teacher from TRIO World School won the TCS World 10k
Marathon under the women’s category age group of 20-30 held
yesterday. Venessa came first in the marathon by completing it in 50
minutes 41 seconds.
Venessa
underwent training for the marathon for a couple of months. Last
year, she finished the marathon in one hour. This year she had set
her mind in finishing it in 50 minutes.
“It’s
great just to finish a marathon, but to win it is really special.
Initially I was very nervous and excited. I had never anticipated I
would get any title, but I not only reached my goal but also stood
first under women’s category age group 20-30. It was truly an
honour to be part of the race on behalf of TRIO World School. The
support I received from the students and the staff was overwhelming”
says Venessa Ruth.
“Sports
is an integral part of TRIO along with academics. We want to
encouraging our kids about exercising and having a healthy lifestyle.
We conduct extensive sports training at the school. Venessa has set a
great example for students to follow,” says Mr.
Naveen K M, Managing Director TRIO World School.
