WORLD DANCE DAY 2014 – A celebration of dance

World Dance Day, an initiation by Mr.Santosh Nair (Sadhya’s Artistic Director), is an impeccable event. This programme enters its 4th year and takes a step further celebrating the occasion in association with India’s National Academy for Music, Dance & Drama – Sangeet Natak Akademi and India Habitat Centre. This event brings together established and upcoming talents, Gurus and students on the same platform to celebrate the art of dance.

Started in the year 2011, World Dance Day presents a diverse blend of traditional, classical and contemporary dance forms. Every year this event gets bigger and witness interesting genres of dance and has been applauded with success. This year the programme enters its 4th year and takes a step further and has divided the event into two segments and shall be performed at two different venues on two different dates.

This year more than 100 artiste are performing various dance forms. The audience will witness the extravagant performance in solos, duets and trios in different genres of dance. Few of the artists who are going to be a part of this celebration are

39 Women Role Models from all across India were honored and felicitated with trophies & certificates for their outstanding contribution towards building the nation.

Many prominent people of Politics, Fashion, Arts & Culture were present to honor the achievers. National spoksperson of BJP & Supreme Court of India lawyer, Meenakshi Lekhi was the Chief Guest for the ocassion. Also present at the function were Social worker Rashi Mahajan, Pankaj Varma, Dr.Rupa Batra, Social Worker Arpita Bansal and many more.

Pop Singer Sagarika Deb was honored and awared in the ceremony as the "INDIAN WOMEN ROLE MODEL AWARDS 2014" and was felicitated with certificate and tropy for her outstanding contribution to the society through her online musical collaborations world wide.

Sagarika says, "Earlier I was honored with Young Achiever/Top 10 Shining Faces of Delhi/NCR' by Delhi Desire (Dainik Jagran Group) however the feeling of being honored as a Role Model for the society through-out India is unbelievable. 4th Delhi International Jazz Festival 2014

New Delhi, March 25, 2014: In 2014 Delhi International Jazz Festival will celebrate it's 4th anniversary and has now become the biggest Jazz Festival in India. For the fourth time again International Jazz Festival in association with the ICCR, from 28th to 30th March, 2014, this year the color theme is 'BLUE' which portray universal symbol for youth and it's the least gender specific color, having equal appeal for both Men & Women.  It also decreases the psychological effects and fabricates wisdom, royalty and strength.

The three extra days of special jazz performances at Nehru Park, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi, from 6pm to 10pm. This prestigious Event will feature world famous international artists as well as the best local talent from different parts of India.

The special happening of the event, Ari Roland Quartet (USA) who also been known as Golden Age of Jazz, Ximo Tebar is the spanish musician who has won the most awards in the last few years, "BEST NATIONAL JAZZ SOLOIST", P.J. Perry At the age of 72, has become recognized by critics, colleagues and listeners, as being one of North America's premier saxophonists and has shared the stage with countless jazz Artists around the world, Joe Alvarez (Mumbai) a multi talented Jazz / Funk / Blues / Rock Vocalist able to sing with unbridled passion, with incredible range and power, Tres Butacas means Three seats, is a beautiful proposal Colombian music mixed with Jazz, Brazilian, bolero and pop.
